July’s Art of the Month:
55th Annual Smithville Fiddler's Jamboree Official Event Poster
by Adam Baker
Adam Baker, a native of Cookeville, TN, began his artistic journey at a young age, inspired by his older sister. He pursued Fine Arts, Illustration, and Graphic Design in Nashville, earning both Associates and Bachelor’s degrees.
Early in his career, he worked as a printer while freelancing as an artist and designer, creating custom screen prints for self-produced art shows. In 2015, Baker and his wife purchased All About Art Gallery in Hendersonville, TN, where he continues to create original artwork and promote local artists.
Since 2011, Adam has also served as the Official Poster Designer for the Smithville Fiddlers' Jamboree & Crafts Festival, creating artwork that has become a cherished part of one of Tennessee's longest-running musical traditions. To celebrate this year's 55th Anniversary poster, Adam recently sat down with Stefanie Miller of Main Street Media to discuss the inspiration behind the design, his creative process, and what it means to contribute to such a historic event.
