We are officially OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!
Come see the new Gallery and all of the New Local Artwork! We're here Monday-Saturday, 10am - 5pm
Floors are done, walls are painted, artwork is hung, and frame samples are back up… we’re about ready to reopen!
Thank you so much Mye and WKRN News 2 for reaching out and taking the time to ask us about our journey to re-re-re-opening our doors. There is still some work to be done within the Gallery and the Shopping Center itself, but we will be opening for (mostly) normal business Mondays through Saturdays, 10am - 5pm.
Temporary Closures are possible as additional repairs continue to be made. Be sure to follow us on Facebook or Instagram for the latest updates!
In just nine short days the Gallery will finally RE-OPEN at 10am on Monday, April 8, 2024! There are still some repairs to be made including possibly replacing our Large Format Printer, the re-installation of our Frame Sample Wall and replacement of the Formica on our Design Fixtures, among other things. That being said, we will not be operating at 100% functionality but the walls are freshly painted and hung with NEW LOCAL ART that we can’t wait to share with you!
The framers have been in this week working to complete the projects from December. If you have an open order with us, be on the lookout for a call or email with an update on your project!
Our Large Format Printer is having issues due to the water damage it incurred from the storm. This means that right now we cannot take on any new custom printing orders. We are hopeful this will be resolved soon!
This has been a journey and it’s not over yet but we can see the light! Thank you for your patience…we are excited to see you!
After the initial aftermath of the storm, we took a much needed break from the chaos and spent the week between holidays recharging with our loved ones. We came back to work this past week preparing for the challenging road ahead. Here’s what’s been happening and what’s to come…buckle up it’s a long one.
After nearly two weeks without, power and water were restored to the City Square building. Though both of our HVAC units were irreparably damaged, the Gallery is climate controlled thanks to our remediation team setting up a temporary heating system until both units are replaced. The roof has also been patched; and is so far dutifully preventing more leaks until it, too can be replaced. All of our property + that of our local artists and custom framing clients remains safe.
Though we are warm and dry, we cannot open for business as there are several necessary repairs such as new flooring and repaired and repainted drywall that will happen inside our space. We are currently in the process of temporarily returning all consignment art and packing every item in the Gallery, our office, and our framing room for off-site storage while these repairs happen. The timeline is still a bit unknown, but we are estimating it will be 6-8 weeks until we re-open. This is, of course, subject to change as things develop.
Adam will be spending the next couple of weeks trying to complete as many of the orders that came in before the tornado as possible. If you have an active framing or printing order with us – please be on the lookout for a phone call with an update on your project.
The outpouring of love from our All About Art family of clients and friends has been tremendous. We have received so many calls checking in and wishing us well. The biggest question we are asked is, “how can we help?”. The answer is telling your friends what you like about us and encourage them to come see us when we re-open. Word of mouth has always been our best form of advertisement and now is no exception. We will need the continued support of our loyal clients and friends once we re-open.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us over the years and now but ESPECIALLY THANK YOU to our dedicated staff: Olivia, Melissa, Josh & David who are working so diligently to make this process as smooth as possible and without delay. They are our heroes and we couldn’t do this without them.
We will do our best to provide updates when we can. ALL ABOUT ART WILL BE BACK and BETTER THAN EVER! Stay tuned!
-With Gratitude
Joy & Adam Baker, owners
Let’s celebrate a little happy!! The Thursday before the storm came through that has temporarily closed our Gallery, we were lucky enough to make our 5th annual donation to the Hendersonville, TN Police Department’s Santa Cop Program. We once again partnered with our incredible neighbors at New Beginnings Furniture TN and so many of our patrons to collect over 150 toys and $4,330 in CASH DONATIONS We always aim to beat our best and this year we quadrupled our previous goal! Thanks to you, children in need will not only receive Christmas toys, but they will also be getting new clothing, their families will get Christmas dinner, and senior citizens that would otherwise have been alone will receive gifts as well. Our hearts are so full from all of your generosity and we are already preparing for next year!
We also had some fun with the officers while they were with us and had them draw for the 25 prizes we have to give away to some of the individuals who made cash and toy donations (every toy or every $10 earned you an entry towards a prize of your choice!) Some winners were notified before we had to close but we promise that we will continue to notify the others who won as soon as we reopen.
Thank you a hundred times over to everyone who made this year’s event a success. The officers told us that they received more applications for assistance this year than ever before and we are so thankful that we are part of a community that can come together and help each other
In a bit of a miracle, the worst of the damage that we have sustained is that our front awning was completely destroyed, and we have several roof leaks in our back work room space. Though an assessment from a structural engineer is still pending, a preliminary inspection of the City Square building where our Gallery is located has determined that the building itself is still structurally sound. We have been granted access to the building and were able to assess ourselves that all of the artworks and client property within our gallery are safe and secure.
NES estimates that it will be at least 2-4 weeks before we regain power. This, unfortunately, puts us in a position where we are unable to complete any framing projects that had a Christmas deadline that were not already completed before Saturday's tornado until after the new year.
If you have an item waiting to be framed or picked up from us, please be on the lookout for a phone call or text from a 615 cell phone number. We will be reaching out in the next few days to make a plan for pick up or storage arrangements.
This has been very trying for us and there is still a long road ahead of rebuilding and remediation but we are trying to remain positive and grateful that our All About Art family and those closest to us were safe and unharmed.
Please stay tuned to Facebook, Instagram and allaboutartgallery.com for more updates as we have them.
Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out sending your love and support. We are so grateful for our community and look forward to serving you again very soon.

Along with many other businesses and homes in Hendersonville, City Square Shopping Center - where All About Art Gallery & Custom Framing is located - suffered major damage in last night's tornado. The immediate aftermath of the storm brought roof leaks, which were able to be controlled, however we were evacuated around 7:30pm due to suspected structural damage and possible roof collapse.
At this time we are unsure when we will be able to return - if at all. We will share updates as we have them and reach out to our clients who have Christmas orders with us as soon as we have a more concrete idea of what to expect. We appreciate everyone's messages of concern, patience, and understanding as we navigate this difficult time. Our thoughts are with all of our City Square neighbors and to our Hendersonville community.

We took a field trip to his incredible wood working studio to hear more about how he approaches creating art that is both beautiful AND functional. Check it out!

“I love getting to illustrate pure childlike joy, and I haven’t been able to make it through the design and execution of any letter with out laughing out loud at some point along the way. I hope they bring as much joy to you as they do to me. And I hope they imbed within each beholder a deep sense that life is truly good!”
