Tom Moore

Born in Windsor, Ontario Canada, Tom has been drawing and painting since he could hold a pencil in his hand. He spent hours with a sketch pad finding encouragement and delight in the response from family and friends. At the age of ten, his mom introduced him to the world of painting with his first set of oils and brushes.

After high school, Tom attended Schoolcraft College in his hometown in Michigan. He experimented and seriously developed his natural talent to draw and paint. His teachers were encouraging but responsibilities of family and work put his art on the back burner.

Tom’s passion for painting emerged again and out came the paints and brushes. His favorite subject matter is cowboys and Indians, evoking memories of Westerns he watched as a child. His unique oils on tiles and natural stone were a hit in Santa Fe and Taos New Mexico. He also spent a week at the Scottsdale School of Art in Arizona studying under the renowned Dan Meiduch.

Tom now finds pleasure in evoking images of times past….a Norman Rockwell feel, giving attention to color and detail, a reflection of simpler times.

He was again encouraged by local artists in the community and sold his work at Local Color in Nashville. He is now a full time artist and has fulfilled his lifelong dream to own an art gallery. All About Art Gallery in Hendersonville, Tennessee houses his works and those of other local and internationally known talents. The requests for his art is “icing on the cake” to an activity he sees as a part of his very being.
